February in Review

Since I don’t do week in review posts, I thought I would try a month in review post.

February was a bit of a slacker month for me.  Counting it up, I only did 13 workouts.

13.  In 28 days.  Not great.

Admittedly, for four of those days, I was in Walt Disney World, and so I got in plenty of walking.  But still.

My monthly running mileage was low.  I’m aiming for 50 miles a month and only hit 42.3 miles.  A lot of that was due to missed workouts.  Gotta step that up.

But on the plus side, I’ve been good about cross training.  I went to three Team Fight swim practices this month (missed one due to Disney) and I’ve spent plenty of time on my bike.

So if I were to grade myself for this month, I’d give myself a B-.  When I did workout, I did a good job.  But I missed too many workouts for not good reasons.  I need to learn to at least get on the treadmill and walk when I’m just not feeling it.  Sometimes, what I need is those endorphins to get me moving.

March officially starts my triathlon training.  I’m a little nervous and a little excited, but I’ve got a plan and now all I have to do is stick to it!
