The Calm Before the Storm

Apparently, another giant snowstorm is coming.  The forecast ranges I’m seeing are anywhere from 4 to 14 inches.  That’s not a real forecast.

And of course, it’s hitting just as I have things planned.  I managed to get an endocrinologist appointment for tomorrow morning.  That’s getting cancelled, just in case. They have a $75 cancellation fee, and I don’t want to risk it.  Hoping I can get another one scheduled soon.

Tomorrow night is also swim practice night.   Snow should have stopped by then, but who knows what the roads will be like.  I’m ready for spring.

I skipped yesterday’s swim because I wasn’t feeling it, which turned out to be good, since thanks to work, I ended up not getting lunch til 4:30.  Then I went home and rode my bike on the trainer for an hour while drinking a beer and watching the Olympics.  I’m not sure this is the best method of training.

So this morning, I got up and hit the pool before work, which felt great.  And now, if tomorrow’s swim doesn’t happen, at least I got in one pool workout.

Plus I guess I’ll have a few snow shoveling workouts to do as well.

I just really really don’t want to lose power.  Fingers crossed!  Stay safe everyone.

  1. Stay warm and safe! I’m in NJ and I have no clue what we are going to wind up with but whatever it is, I’m not looking forward to it. Unless it’s sunshine and no snow. Then I am.
