Recovering

I have been under the weather for nearly two weeks.

TWO WEEKS!

I’m going a bit stir crazy.  Which I think means I’m finally getting better.

While running the double half marathons, I was getting a scratchy throat and knew I was getting a cold.  I was not wrong.  Flying home congested was not fun.  But I figured I would get better soon enough.

Didn’t do much working out that week, definitely skipped swim so I wasn’t leaving snot trails behind me.  But apparently, biking this weekend might not have been the best plan.  Suddenly, I was coughing up a storm.  Spent Monday exhausted, took a sick day on Tuesday, and hit up Walgreens to buy all of the OTC medications I could find.  I wasn’t feverish or achy, so I wasn’t too worried.

Finally today, I think I’m on an upswing.  I only took a cough suppressant/expectorant this morning to hopefully help clear out my lungs.  But I’m no longer congested, which is a huge plus.  Going to probably try for an easy run tomorrow and then a bike ride on Easter morning.  Fingers crossed that I am finally on an upswing.  Being sick is no fun!
