I feel like my training plan is mocking me right now.
The next 10 days or so are going to be a bear. Here’s my schedule:
Monday (yesterday): Work 7:30-6, choir 7-10ish, home by 10:45
Tuesday: Work 7:30-5, home for maybe some stretching or strength work, sleep early
Wednesday: See Monday
Thursday: Work 7:30-4:15, chiropractor appt, maybe a workout, but most likely collapsing
Friday: Work 7:30-4 (I hope), choir 7-10ish
Saturday: Clean, laundry, pack, maybe bike, sleep
Sunday: choir concert, then 3 hour drive for work.
Mon-Wed: 12+ hour days of meetings
Note the distinct lack of workouts? Not awesome. I’m not even going to bring workout gear on my business trip because having seen the schedule, it’s not going to happen. I’m going to need all the sleep I can get. I’m going to focus more on making sure I eat right and get the rest I need.
Then I will hit the ground running when I get back. Only a few weeks til race day!
