I already need a nap, and the month has just begun. For some reason, August has a tendency to be a crazy month for me. Thankfully, this year isn’t quite as crazy as last year (three races and a 24 hour bike ride? Really?) but it’s still going to be interesting (two races and a 24 hour bike ride).
This past weekend, obviously, was the Fort Ritchie Sprint. I think this one is coming off my list. I love the organization, and it’s not that I’m against a hard race, but for now, I think I need to focus elsewhere.
Two weeks from now is the Iron Girl Columbia Sprint Triathlon. I love this race for all the beginners participating, but it’s also a challenging course, and it’s a good chance for me to see if I have improved over the previous year. Last year, I cut quite a bit of time. Let’s see if I can manage it again this year.
The following weekend, I’ve got 24 Hours of Booty. This is a fundraiser for the LIVESTRONG foundation and Ulman Cancer Fund. 24 hours, bike as far as you possibly can. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s exhausting. I’m also still fundraising, and every little bit helps.
I think I’m going to need a vacation in September. I don’t think it’s going to happen, but a girl can dream.
I’m tired for you. I am going to vacation in September, so I’ll vacation extra hard for you.
