Today’s quote just makes me laugh.
Okay, so it’s not motivating, exactly. But it’s a reminder to pay attention to what you are learning about health and fitness. Sound too good to be true? It probably is. So make sure you’re not falling for the latest fad diet.
In other news, I have a new way for you to help support my Team Fight fundraising. For the next 3 weeks, I’m hosting an online Stella and Dot trunk show. Stella & Dot sells awesome jewelry, bags, and other accessories. I’m kind of obsessed with their bracelets right now. Thanks to my awesome stylist, 50% of the commission from the show is going straight to Team Fight. Additionally, any hostess rewards that I may get will be used for items to later be either auctioned or raffled off for Team Fight. It’s really easy for you – you can shop online and items are shipped directly to your house. Thanks for looking!
I joke that I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I like the fear and the elation that comes with trying new things. I think that’s why I signed up for triathlons this year. It’s terrifying and exciting all at once.
In the wake of a tragedy, heroes emerge. But those of us who aren’t heroes can also step up and make a difference. Do something positive today.
It’s crazy, but working out is such a great mood booster. I don’t know if it’s the adrenaline or the endorphins or just the satisfaction of having done something good for yourself, but when I’m in a terrible mood, a good workout definitely helps. And it doesn’t even have to be a hard workout. A 20 minute walk on my lunch break does wonders. Give it a shot the next time you’re in a funk!
We’ve all heard the quote. “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”
There are so many things wrong with that quote.
Number one, the point isn’t to be skinny. The point is to be fit and healthy.
Number two, I can think of lots of things that taste pretty awesome. And you shouldn’t have to give them up.
Everything in moderation. Maybe I can’t eat cold pizza for breakfast every day or go out for lunch four times a week. But I can do these things sometimes. I’ll be honest – I love food. I can’t do any of those diets that require you to give up things. Even if I rarely eat something, as soon as it’s “off limits,” it’s all I want to eat all the time.
Moderation. It’s the key to everything.
