Since the Holidailies prompts don’t come up until the morning of the prompt, I haven’t been able to keep up.\u00a0 If you haven’t guessed, I write most of my posts early and then have them scheduled to post at 8am Eastern each weekday.\u00a0 I’m at work when the posts go up!\u00a0 Also, I’m not organized enough to actually write and post every single morning.<\/p>\n
So here are the prompts for the past few days.<\/p>\n
Tell us about your favorite holiday book or movie?<\/strong><\/p>\n Here is an opportunity for me to use the internet to find information!\u00a0 I have very little info though.\u00a0 Years ago, my parents had this newspaper copy of a story about a little boy and Christmas.\u00a0 It was probably from a NY\/NJ area paper, and it was probably a 4 page spread.\u00a0 It was color, and I don’t remember the details, which makes it hard to search for.\u00a0 I think the boy might have been an elf of some sort?\u00a0 I remember loving this story, but I have no idea what it was or how to find it since I remember so very little about it.<\/p>\n Obviously, I’m a big fan of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.\u00a0 I clearly adore animals, but that scene with the cat makes me laugh every time.\u00a0\u00a0 I also really love The Muppet Christmas Carol.\u00a0 “Light the lamp, not the rat!”<\/p>\n Tell us about your favorite holiday food.<\/strong><\/p>\n Oh man.\u00a0 Christmas is about food in our family.\u00a0 And too much of it.\u00a0 We don’t really have a traditional Christmas dish, which I like.\u00a0 It’s sort of “What will everyone like.” It’s never formal – always serve yourself in the kitchen and sit wherever you can find a spot, but the food is incredible.\u00a0 Last year, we had seared ahi tuna along with some form of red meat and sides.\u00a0 The tuna was delicious.\u00a0 It’s an excuse for my parents to try out new dishes, I think, and there’s always something for everyone.\u00a0 The hard part is not filling up on appetizers beforehand.\u00a0 There is always baked brie at Christmas.\u00a0 I could eat that for every meal.\u00a0 I would no longer fit out the door, but it would be delicious.<\/p>\n Of course, before Christmas Dinner, we have Christmas Breakfast.\u00a0 Mom insists on plying us all with mimosas and bellinis, which can be fun or rough, depending on how much wine we drank at the family gathering the night before.\u00a0 There are always various baked goods and usually a few cookies sneak their way in and Dad does eggs to order along with potatoes and bacon and other good stuff.\u00a0 It’s a lot of fun and always delicious.<\/p>\n Man, now I’m hungry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Since the Holidailies prompts don’t come up until the morning of the prompt, I haven’t been able to keep up.\u00a0 If you haven’t guessed, I write most of my posts early and then have them scheduled to post at 8am Eastern each weekday.\u00a0 I’m at work when the posts go up!\u00a0 Also, I’m not organized […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[55],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"\n
