So I’m playing fast and loose with the Holidailies prompts, and one from earlier this week was to write a letter to Santa.\u00a0 So here goes.<\/p>\n
Dear Santa,<\/p>\n
Well, I’m sure you already got my list since Mom makes me put it together in October every year.\u00a0 I do appreciate that you still bring gifts even though I’m in my 30’s.\u00a0 But since you have the list of material things, let’s go with the immaterial, yet still totally selfish things that I want.\u00a0 Because we all know that I want peace and an end to hunger, etc.<\/p>\n
So I know you’re a runner, Santa.\u00a0 I’ve seen you at races.\u00a0 And you’re fast.\u00a0 I guess all those cookies are good for carb loading.\u00a0 And you must have strong bones from all that milk.\u00a0 So I’m going to ask you about helping me towards my running goals.<\/p>\n
First, Santa, if you could help propel me across the finish line of my marathon in January, that would be awesome.\u00a0 And get my friends across the finish line too.\u00a0 I’m not asking for a fast time, just a nice, healthy finish.<\/p>\n
Also, if you could keep me from drowning or crashing on my bike during my triathlons, that would be great.\u00a0 I can handle the run myself.\u00a0 Maybe if you sent some elves to cheer me on, that would help.<\/p>\n
Finally, if you could help keep me and my friends healthy for the upcoming running season, we would all appreciate it.\u00a0 Being on the injured list is no fun.\u00a0 It’s almost as bad as the naughty list – though what you have to do to get on the naughty list is way more fun.<\/p>\n
