Catching up on some Holidailies prompts:<\/p>\n

Talk about snow – did you grow up with it? Do you prefer snow or rain?<\/strong><\/p>\n

How is this even in question? \u00a0Clearly snow is the better option. \u00a0I always say that DC winters are miserable. \u00a0The typical weather seems to be 35 degrees and raining. \u00a0There is nothing more miserable. \u00a0At least with the snow, you can brush it off. \u00a0The cold rain just sinks in. \u00a0I much prefer a nice clear 7 degree day. \u00a0People don’t believe me when I tell them that it just doesn’t feel as cold, that the dampness is what makes winter miserable.<\/p>\n

I miss the snow. \u00a0We had snow growing up and it always meant lots of sledding and playing outside. \u00a0We would all get kicked outside to play, all bundled up in snowpants and heavy coats and mittens and hats. \u00a0So what if you couldn’t move? \u00a0It was fun.<\/p>\n

Of course, I say this and we’ll end up with three feet of snow or something ridiculous. \u00a0DC can’t even handle an inch of snow without some severe traffic issues. \u00a0So it’s no surprise that a serious storm shuts us down. \u00a0Some of that is just due to the lack of plows and salt trucks. \u00a0But even with all of that, I still love the snow. \u00a0It’s pretty and it’s fun to see kids out building snow creatures.<\/p>\n

Well, and it is nice to have an impromptu snow day. \u00a0I definitely can’t complain about weather-induced telework days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
