{"id":1843,"date":"2013-05-16T08:00:32","date_gmt":"2013-05-16T12:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=1843"},"modified":"2013-05-15T07:33:51","modified_gmt":"2013-05-15T11:33:51","slug":"you-know-you-have-a-problem-when","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2013\/05\/16\/you-know-you-have-a-problem-when\/","title":{"rendered":"You Know You Have A Problem When&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Do you ever get the feeling your running is becoming less of a hobby and more of an obsession?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m starting to have that feeling.<\/p>\n<p>Registration for the Army Ten Miler opened at 12:01 Wednesday morning.\u00a0 Yes, that&#8217;s right, just after midnight.\u00a0 No, no, no, I didn&#8217;t stay up to register.\u00a0 I get up for work at 5:30. Staying up past midnight is just not in the cards.<\/p>\n<p>What I did was even more ridiculous.<\/p>\n<p>I set an alarm for midnight.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s right.\u00a0 I went to bed around 10, then woke up 2 hours later to register for a race.\u00a0 Because of the crush of people trying to register, it took almost half an hour, which sounds like one of the shorter times.\u00a0 There was plenty of frustration, but I was patient and ultimately got in.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, when I woke up at 5:30 the next morning, there were still about 10,000 spots open.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;m the sort who would rather be safe than sorry.\u00a0 So I will be there.\u00a0 Will you?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/logo_Army10Miler.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1844\" alt=\"logo_Army10Miler\" src=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/logo_Army10Miler.jpg\" width=\"210\" height=\"106\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you ever get the feeling your running is becoming less of a hobby and more of an obsession?
