{"id":2633,"date":"2014-02-26T13:00:04","date_gmt":"2014-02-26T18:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=2633"},"modified":"2014-02-26T13:00:04","modified_gmt":"2014-02-26T18:00:04","slug":"next-steps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/26\/next-steps\/","title":{"rendered":"Next Steps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, I finally had my endocrinology appointment.\u00a0 I was supposed to go a few weeks ago, but got waylaid by snow.\u00a0 And guess what?\u00a0 It snowed like crazy this morning too!\u00a0 But after a harrowing journey, I made it in.<\/p>\n<p>It was so nice to have a doctor listen and not just say &#8220;Well, you&#8217;re not eating right&#8221; or &#8220;You need to exercise more&#8221; or &#8220;Maybe you&#8217;re just genetically predisposed to be fat.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0 The next step is bloodwork, scheduled for next week.\u00a0 One thing I like is that this doctor has a patient portal where all the test results are posted.\u00a0 So not only do I get to talk to my doctor about the results, I can see them myself.\u00a0 Not that I&#8217;ll be able to interpret them, but I like having all of the information instead of just &#8220;Well, this was in range, this was not.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure what I want them to find.\u00a0 Part of me wants something to be wrong, just so I can have a path towards fixing it.\u00a0 But on the other hand, I don&#8217;t want to be &#8220;sick&#8221; either.\u00a0 I think I just want answers, regardless of what they are.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, I finally had my endocrinology appointment.\u00a0 I was supposed to go a few weeks ago, but got waylaid by snow.\u00a0 And guess what?\u00a0 It snowed like crazy this morning too!\u00a0 But after a harrowing journey, I made it in.
