{"id":2857,"date":"2014-07-02T09:00:21","date_gmt":"2014-07-02T13:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=2857"},"modified":"2014-07-02T08:14:32","modified_gmt":"2014-07-02T12:14:32","slug":"wednesday-workout-recap-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2014\/07\/02\/wednesday-workout-recap-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Workout Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, not a perfect week, but not too terrible.<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Swim Drills.\u00a0 This was my first Monday swim and MAN, the pool is crowded on Mondays.\u00a0 I will have to be sure to get there as early as possible so I get a lane and still get to work on time.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; 4 miles on the treadmill.\u00a0 It&#8217;s so nice that ABC Family has started up their programming again so I have something to watch<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; 60 minutes of bike drills.\u00a0 These kick my ass every week and I love it.\u00a0 I feel like the bike is the portion of the triathlon where I have the most opportunity to improve, and I know this will help so much.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; I came home from work with an insane headache and just crashed.\u00a0 No swim practice for me.<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; Rest day, so I started the closet insanity.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211; 8 mile run.\u00a0 So much better than last week.\u00a0 I think the temperature was cooler.\u00a0 I was definitely dripping wet though, and thinking I might need a Camelbak to get me through these hot runs.\u00a0 My bottle belt just isn&#8217;t cutting it.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday &#8211; 17 mile ride.\u00a0 I&#8217;m getting better at these hills, but I need to learn to pace myself so that I&#8217;m not overdoing it and letting my heartrate get too high. Today, I also retaped my handlebars.\u00a0 Ethel looks so pretty in her new outfit!<\/p>\n<p>So one missed workout.\u00a0 Not ideal, but I felt like I did what was right for my body.\u00a0 I was clearly run down.\u00a0 However, this week will be better.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, not a perfect week, but not too terrible.
