{"id":2905,"date":"2014-07-23T09:00:37","date_gmt":"2014-07-23T13:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=2905"},"modified":"2014-07-23T08:28:58","modified_gmt":"2014-07-23T12:28:58","slug":"wednesday-workout-recap-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2014\/07\/23\/wednesday-workout-recap-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Workout Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s that time again!\u00a0 Another workout recap.\u00a0 I know a lot of bloggers do What I Ate Wednesday, and let me tell you, that would be the most boring post series if I participated.\u00a0 Though yesterday, I did have a fluffernutter made with honey and flax almond butter.\u00a0 And it was delicious.<\/p>\n<p>Last week&#8217;s workouts:<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Skipped.\u00a0 My whole body hurt from Pedal and Paddle.\u00a0 Would possibly have felt good to go, but not moving felt so much better.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; 6 miles scheduled, but only ran 5 when the power started blinking.\u00a0 I decided that the constant on\/off was bad for the treadmill and quit.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; Bike Trainer workouts.\u00a0 I love these more and more.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; Team Fight swim.\u00a0 I was once again one of the slower swimmers, but I finally feel like I&#8217;m making progress and figuring out the proper body positioning to really swim well.\u00a0 Now to manage that in open water with sighting.<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; Rest Day<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211; 8 mile run.\u00a0 I was absolutely dripping sweat, and probably sweating off all of my sunscreen.\u00a0 Thankfully, a breeze picked up when I hit the turnaround point, so the second half wasn&#8217;t as bad.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday &#8211; Iron Girl Course Ride.\u00a0 I&#8217;m getting better and better at this course.\u00a0 I love the practice on hills.\u00a0 I&#8217;m still working on getting my cadence up, as my natural comfortable cadence is at about 72 and it should be at about 90.\u00a0 But I&#8217;ll get there.<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it and there you are.\u00a0 This current week is my last week without a race of some sort for a while and I have to admit, my August scares me a bit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s that time again!\u00a0 Another workout recap.\u00a0 I know a lot of bloggers do What I Ate Wednesday, and let me tell you, that would be the most boring post series if I participated.\u00a0 Though yesterday, I did have a fluffernutter made with honey and flax almond butter.\u00a0 And it was delicious.
