{"id":3000,"date":"2014-09-03T09:15:14","date_gmt":"2014-09-03T13:15:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=3000"},"modified":"2014-09-03T09:12:30","modified_gmt":"2014-09-03T13:12:30","slug":"wednesday-workout-recap-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2014\/09\/03\/wednesday-workout-recap-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Workout Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another week, another workout recap.<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Rest Day.\u00a0 A gift after riding 100 miles over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; 7 mile run, with 4 miles of speedwork.\u00a0 This workout felt incredible.\u00a0 Much faster than normal and my legs weren&#8217;t sluggish.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want to think that the key to good running is killing myself on my bike though.\u00a0 That seems like a tough training plan.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; Trainer workout.\u00a0 My quads were tired today, but I really love trainer drills.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; Team swim.\u00a0 Lots of 100 drills, which I enjoy.\u00a0 I need to keep working on my form.\u00a0 I have great form in the pool when I&#8217;m thinking about it, but when I get into open water, all bets are off.<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; Rest Day<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211; 10 Mile Run.\u00a0 This was&#8230; not pretty.\u00a0 It could have been much worse.\u00a0 I prepared for this run by drinking half a bottle of wine on Friday night, then oversleeping and running in the thick, muggy heat.\u00a0 Eh.\u00a0 But I got a new Nathan backpack hydration dealio, and it worked splendiferously.\u00a0 That&#8217;s good news for when the water fountains in the parks get turned off for the winter.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday &#8211; 10 miles on the bike trainer.\u00a0 I could have gone outside, but it was hot and threatening storms.\u00a0 So I did a ten mile ride inside.\u00a0 I feel like trainer workouts are a good workout.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t just coast.\u00a0 I have to keep pedaling.\u00a0 That bodes well for the winter.<\/p>\n<p>It was so glorious to not have to race this weekend.\u00a0 I cannot express that enough.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another week, another workout recap.
