{"id":3103,"date":"2014-11-03T10:03:18","date_gmt":"2014-11-03T15:03:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=3103"},"modified":"2014-11-03T10:03:18","modified_gmt":"2014-11-03T15:03:18","slug":"amazing-reunion-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2014\/11\/03\/amazing-reunion-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazing Reunion Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend ended up being a bit of a college reunion for me.\u00a0 Notre Dame played Navy here at FedEx Field, and so many of my friends from college came into town for the game. It was so great to have everyone in town.<\/p>\n<p>Friday night, 7 of us went out to dinner and there was just so much laughter.\u00a0 Lots of things that I had forgotten we had done.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know that our college experience was atypical, but while we did go out and go to parties and such, it wasn&#8217;t uncommon for us all to be hanging out in the dorm being total idiots (with or without alcohol).\u00a0 We were always getting up to ridiculous antics and making people just shake their heads.\u00a0 It was so much fun to revisit those days.<\/p>\n<p>And be so glad that social media didn&#8217;t exist then.\u00a0 There are some digital photos out there, but nothing like today where everyone has a camera at all times.\u00a0 This is a good thing.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, we did a late brunch\/lunch and then headed out to tailgate before the game.\u00a0 So much fun, and the best part of tailgating is all the people who show up.\u00a0 We lucked into the opportunity to buy tickets in a suite, so we were indoors for the game, which was amazing.\u00a0 Worth every penny, given the weather.\u00a0 And it was just so awesome to spend time together.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s hard for all of us to get together, but this year, I need to make more of a point of attending every informal reunion I can.\u00a0 And I need to get together with the others who live in the DC area!\u00a0 We&#8217;ve gotten so busy that we don&#8217;t see each other enough.\u00a0 Friendships are important to maintain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend ended up being a bit of a college reunion for me.\u00a0 Notre Dame played Navy here at FedEx Field, and so many of my friends from college came into town for the game.
