{"id":4401,"date":"2016-04-20T09:29:47","date_gmt":"2016-04-20T13:29:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=4401"},"modified":"2016-04-20T09:29:47","modified_gmt":"2016-04-20T13:29:47","slug":"wednesday-workout-recap-55","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2016\/04\/20\/wednesday-workout-recap-55\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Workout Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_4402\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4402\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/trophy_1461158643.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4402\" src=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/trophy_1461158643.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4402\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pixabay.com\/users\/Peggy_Marco\/\">Peggy_Marco<\/a> \/ Pixabay<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I think meeting all my workouts for a week earns me a trophy, don&#8217;t you?<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Rest day.\u00a0 Okay, so this one&#8217;s hard to screw up.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; I did NOT want to, but I went to the pool in the morning for a 1600m swim.\u00a0 Once I actually got there, it wasn&#8217;t so bad.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; I was exhausted after a late day at work, but ran 4 miles on the treadmill anyway.\u00a0 This is where I earned that trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; Team swim.\u00a0 This was awesome.\u00a0 Lots of long drills with little rest.\u00a0 It was perfect and I felt like I really got in a solid workout.\u00a0 It showed that I need to strengthen my neck muscles though.<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; Hour structured trainer workout followed by a hilly one mile run through the neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211; Ten mile run.\u00a0 It went really well until my asthma kicked in around mile nine.\u00a0 I have exercise induced asthma but it really doesn&#8217;t bother me often.\u00a0 It manifests in a sort of wheezy cough at the end of a workout, and it isn&#8217;t bad, just makes it tough to run.\u00a0 I wonder if the sheer amount of pollen in the air caused the flare up.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t bring my inhaler with me, but I should have.\u00a0 I always carry it racing, just not always while training.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday &#8211; Joined the group bike ride at Princeton Sports.\u00a0 It was tough and also scary being out on my tri bike for the first time with the group.\u00a0 But according to my Strava data, I had a pretty sweet ride.
