{"id":5007,"date":"2017-03-29T10:02:32","date_gmt":"2017-03-29T14:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=5007"},"modified":"2017-03-29T10:02:32","modified_gmt":"2017-03-29T14:02:32","slug":"wednesday-workout-recap-89","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2017\/03\/29\/wednesday-workout-recap-89\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Workout Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-968\" src=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teamfight.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"172\" height=\"178\" \/>Once again, I&#8217;m fundraising for Team Fight and the Ulman Cancer Fund. \u00a0I&#8217;m kicking off my fundraising with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stelladot.com\/ts\/dx2r6\">a Stella &amp; Dot show<\/a>. \u00a0If you&#8217;re interested in shopping, check out the site. \u00a025% of the sale (all of the Stylist proceeds) are going to UCF. \u00a0If you want to just make a straight donation, click on the image in my side bar <a href=\"https:\/\/ulman.z2systems.com\/megansullivan\">or click here<\/a>. \u00a0Now, on to the recap.<\/p>\n<p>After a week of snow and concert rehearsals, things were finally back to normal last week.<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Choir rehearsals. \u00a0Yep, no rest for the weary.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; Team Fight Swim. \u00a0We did a lot of kick drills. \u00a0It was a killer workout. \u00a0I was dying. \u00a0But it felt awesome anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; FTP test. \u00a0I really thought this would go terribly. \u00a0Given the kick drills the night before, this couldn&#8217;t go well. And yet it went really well and I added 4 watts to my FTP. \u00a0This basically means I&#8217;m getting better and my workouts are going to get harder. \u00a0So it&#8217;s sort of a win-lose situation. \u00a0(I originally typed &#8220;win&#8221; as &#8220;wine&#8221; and maybe it&#8217;s a wine situation too.)<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; I was Burned. Out. \u00a0Long day at work, late lunch, exhausted from the FTP test. \u00a0I&#8217;m doing my best to not skip workouts, but I needed the night off. \u00a0So I did an easy walk (to the delicious chicken restaurant in my neighborhood), had a tasty dinner, and went to bed early.<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; Had an easy crosstraining day on the schedule, but opted to pick up Thursday&#8217;s missed 5 mile run. \u00a0Since I get off work early on Fridays, I felt comfortable running outside. \u00a0My legs were still dead, possibly because I didn&#8217;t do enough on Thursday. \u00a0Gotta keep moving or things tighten up. \u00a0But I survived.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211;
