{"id":214,"date":"2011-01-08T18:20:11","date_gmt":"2011-01-08T22:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=214"},"modified":"2011-01-08T18:20:11","modified_gmt":"2011-01-08T22:20:11","slug":"slacker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2011\/01\/08\/slacker\/","title":{"rendered":"Slacker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been slacking horribly on my running this week! \u00a0Thanks to the newbies at the gym, my 4 miles got cut to 30 minutes on Tuesday and then thanks to some weather and other things, I missed my second mid-week run. \u00a0So tomorrow, I have got to do somewhere between 7 and 8 miles. \u00a0I have a race coming up! \u00a0I can&#8217;t screw that up.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just been painfully sluggish lately, and I&#8217;m not sure why. \u00a0Lack of motivation? \u00a0Could be &#8211; I can&#8217;t say that I love being on the treadmill, nor do I love running outside in the crazy cold. \u00a0I think the crazy cold does trump though. \u00a0At least the scenery changes.<\/p>\n<p>If I ever get a house big enough, I really want to put in my own treadmill with a tv in front of it so that I can choose what to watch while working out. \u00a0My gym does have televisions on all of the treadmills, but there&#8217;s never anything on, plus the tv is so close that I get motion sickness running and trying to focus on it. \u00a0Not good at all. \u00a0Though just listening to Keeping Up With the Kardashians got me through my treadmill ten miler last spring. \u00a0Listening to all that crazy made me feel pretty good about myself.<\/p>\n<p>Congrats to all my friends who ran the Walt Disney World Half Marathon today, and best of luck to everyone running the Full Marathon tomorrow. \u00a0Can&#8217;t wait to see the Donald, Mickey, and GOOFY medals!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been slacking horribly on my running this week! \u00a0Thanks to the newbies at the gym, my 4 miles got cut to 30 minutes on Tuesday and then thanks to some weather and other things, I missed my second mid-week run. \u00a0So tomorrow, I have got to do somewhere between 7 and 8 miles.
