Well, the cool air and the school busses are proof.\u00a0 Summer is officially over.\u00a0 I’m sure we’ll have some last blasts of heat, but it feels like it’s back to the real world now.<\/p>\n

Even though I haven’t had a summer break in years, there is still something calming about summer.\u00a0 One awesome perk is that our office has summer attire – meaning that I can wear jeans or sundresses to work everyday.\u00a0 Being just a bit more casual really changes the atmosphere.\u00a0 But it’s back to dress pants.\u00a0 Dressing like a grown-up, I call it.<\/p>\n

Admittedly, fall is my favorite season.\u00a0 I love the cool weather.\u00a0 I love college football season.\u00a0 I love being outside in the cool weather.\u00a0 Fall races are some of my favorites.\u00a0 My body thrives in cool weather workouts.\u00a0 I know not everyone agrees with that, but I love a brisk race morning.\u00a0 Sure, the waiting for the race can be miserable, but the race itself feels amazing.<\/p>\n

Now that it’s fall though, it feels like I have so much to do.\u00a0 The vacation that has been planned for well over a year is now just a few weeks away.\u00a0 I am ready and not ready all at the same time.\u00a0 So far, I have zero blog posts pre-written, for example.<\/p>\n

And oh, the list of things I wanted to get done over the summer.\u00a0 Those did not so much happen.\u00a0 But I did get a lot accomplished, and had a great time doing it.<\/p>\n

So welcome, Fall.\u00a0 Nice to see you again.\u00a0 Let’s keep it jeans and sweater weather for as long as possible, okay?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
