I was going to still swim and bike once a week.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming got dropped pretty darn fast.\u00a0 Prior to last week, the last time I was at the pool was October.<\/p>\n<p>Cycling?\u00a0 Probably sometime in September.\u00a0 My bike didn&#8217;t even make it into the trainer, which means I certainly wasn&#8217;t biking through the winter.\u00a0 My sit bones are still protesting when I get on the bike, but it&#8217;s getting better with time (though at some point, I do need to upgrade my saddle).<\/p>\n<p>Admittedly, running will get better when I can reliably be outside.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t mind the treadmill, but variety is really nice.\u00a0 For me, the perfect way to train is treadmill during the week (trashy tv!) and treadmill on the weekend.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a good variety and allows me to do good speedwork inside while still getting outside in the fresh air for long runs.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure once the variety become routine, I&#8217;ll find myself looking for something new again, but for now, I&#8217;m loving the change.<\/p>\n<p>(I&#8217;m not loving the effect of the cold weather and the pool on my skin, however.\u00a0 Yuck!)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m probably going to regret this as my half marathons for the spring approach, but I&#8217;m really enjoying my transition into triathlon training.\u00a0 It&#8217;s so nice to head to a workout and NOT be running.\u00a0 I like running, but I&#8217;m really enjoying the variety.\u00a0 And I can tell that I&#8217;ve lost fitness in both swimming [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[41],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.7 -
