{"id":2819,"date":"2014-06-05T09:00:31","date_gmt":"2014-06-05T13:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=2819"},"modified":"2014-06-05T08:02:04","modified_gmt":"2014-06-05T12:02:04","slug":"how-did-you-celebrate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2014\/06\/05\/how-did-you-celebrate\/","title":{"rendered":"How did you celebrate?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday was National Running Day.\u00a0 How did you celebrate?<\/p>\n<p>I took a rest day.<\/p>\n<p>Not planned.<\/p>\n<p>Whoops.<\/p>\n<p>But I think it was needed.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, I was just dragging all day.\u00a0 I planned to do a quick run later in the evening, but by about 6pm, I was ready for bed.\u00a0 I did a pretty hard workout on Tuesday night, which may have been part of the problem.\u00a0 I also didn&#8217;t get a ton of sleep Monday night or Tuesday night.\u00a0 I think it all finally hit me yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>So I decided that for my body, it was best that I skip the workout and go to bed early instead.\u00a0 Which is exactly what I did.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the reason I chose that option was that I wanted to be fresh for tonight&#8217;s swim workout.\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t been able to get to Team Fight swim practice in a few weeks, so I want to be able to get there and swim my legs off.<\/p>\n<p>So a rest day it was.\u00a0 I really think that taking all that time off due to work and personal commitments hurt my stamina, which is why I&#8217;m putting in extra rest days.\u00a0 I need to find a good balance here.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll get there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday was National Running Day.\u00a0 How did you celebrate?
