So pretty, so annoying."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I have discussed, Thursday night workouts are the hardest for me.\u00a0 I really enjoy them, but by Thursday, my brain is craving a rest day.\u00a0 I just want to go sit on the couch and not drive the 20 miles to swim practice.\u00a0 I get there and I&#8217;m glad I went, but it&#8217;s those steps that make it tough to get there.<\/p>\n<p>Last night, a few storms came through, but nothing too severe, so I had my fingers crossed that swim practice would be okay.\u00a0 Typically, if there&#8217;s a storm, I just skip practice, figuring that it will get called for lightning.\u00a0 (The pool has a sensor of sorts that alerts to lightning within a certain distance.\u00a0 When it goes off, the pool is closed for 45 minutes.)\u00a0 However, more often than not, when I make that decision, practice goes on as planned.<\/p>\n<p>So I went to practice.<\/p>\n<p>Got there, everything was fine.\u00a0 So I dressed for swim (or rather, undressed) and reluctantly hopped into the pool.<\/p>\n<p>Started the workout, and by the time I finished my first lap, the sensor had gone off and everyone had to get out of the pool.<\/p>\n<p>Since practice is only an hour, a 45 minute delay pretty much means we&#8217;re done.<\/p>\n<p>So hey, I got in a 50 meter workout.\u00a0 I&#8217;m a champion, right?<\/p>\n<p>Oh well, at least I tried.\u00a0 Thanks, Mother Nature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I have discussed, Thursday night workouts are the hardest for me.\u00a0 I really enjoy them, but by Thursday, my brain is craving a rest day.\u00a0 I just want to go sit on the couch and not drive the 20 miles to swim practice.\u00a0 I get there and I&#8217;m glad I went, but it&#8217;s those [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[115],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.7 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Lightning.
