{"id":34,"date":"2008-07-25T14:18:09","date_gmt":"2008-07-25T18:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=34"},"modified":"2008-07-25T14:18:09","modified_gmt":"2008-07-25T18:18:09","slug":"the-earliest-bloggers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2008\/07\/25\/the-earliest-bloggers\/","title":{"rendered":"The earliest bloggers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I admit it.\u00a0 I love Neil Patrick Harris.\u00a0 I have loved him since Doogie Howser, M.D.\u00a0 Come on, this man has done some amazing things!\u00a0 Doogie Howser!\u00a0 Starship Troopers!\u00a0 How I Met Your Mother!\u00a0 Dr. Horrible!\u00a0 And some other things that I can&#8217;t remember off of the top of my head.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing makes me laugh more than the Halloween episode of HIMYM when there is a knock at the door and Barney reaches in, starts\u00a0a boom box, and appears in the door dressed as Tom Cruise in Top Gun.\u00a0 I laugh and laugh and laugh.<\/p>\n<p>I read a comment recently that someone thought Doogie Howser was one of the first bloggers.\u00a0\u00a0 At the end of every episode, he typed up his journal entries, discussing his thoughts of what had gone on over the past few days.\u00a0 Sure, he wasn&#8217;t posting it on the internet, but he was posting it for everyone to see, in a way, if you break the fourth wall.\u00a0 Not only was he a child prodigy, he was years and years ahead of his time.\u00a0 Tragically, his computer was a bit behind the times.<\/p>\n<p>It makes me want to revamp my templates to resemble Doogie Howser&#8217;s computer.\u00a0 Everyone wants to read green text on a black screen all day, right?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I wonder what Dr. Howser is up to nowadays.\u00a0 I liked NPH&#8217;s opinion that he was probably an angry drug addict limping around a hospital on a cane and torturing his fellow doctors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I admit it.\u00a0 I love Neil Patrick Harris.\u00a0 I have loved him since Doogie Howser, M.D.\u00a0 Come on, this man has done some amazing things!\u00a0 Doogie Howser!\u00a0 Starship Troopers!\u00a0 How I Met Your Mother!\u00a0 Dr. Horrible!\u00a0 And some other things that I can&#8217;t remember off of the top of my head.
