{"id":3828,"date":"2015-08-26T08:57:37","date_gmt":"2015-08-26T12:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=3828"},"modified":"2015-08-26T08:57:37","modified_gmt":"2015-08-26T12:57:37","slug":"wednesday-workout-recap-34","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2015\/08\/26\/wednesday-workout-recap-34\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Workout Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At some point, training is going to go back to normal, but for now, another easy week.<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Rest day.\u00a0 Lots of stretching and researching stretching.\u00a0 Gotta do something about these hip flexors.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; Still pretty sore, so I did a ton more stretching and took an extra rest day.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; Easy 45 minutes on my bike.\u00a0 Getting better about pushing this.\u00a0 I&#8217;m weirdly looking forward to a winter of trainer rides.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; Team swim was cancelled for pool maintenance, so I considered doing Tuesday&#8217;s five miler.\u00a0 Got through 1 mile of it and stopped.\u00a0 Not sure why at this point.\u00a0 Probably just being overly lazy.<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; Rest Day<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\/Sunday &#8211; 24 Hours of Booty.\u00a0 24 hours of riding as much as you can around a 2.1 mile loop (with a small hill that seems to grow as the hours pass).\u00a0 I wanted to hit 125 miles.\u00a0 I did 112 last year, so I thought it was doable.\u00a0 This year was much hotter than last year, so my early miles involved more breaks for fluids, and unfortunately, my hip flexor issues really flared again.\u00a0 I did 56ish miles on Saturday, and ultimately ended the weekend with 103.\u00a0 Not what I wanted, but Sunday&#8217;s miles were a bit easier.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know if I was just pushing too hard on Saturday or what, but I didn&#8217;t want to risk injury before my last tri of the season.\u00a0 Either way, I&#8217;ll be back next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At some point, training is going to go back to normal, but for now, another easy week.
