{"id":3966,"date":"2015-11-04T09:00:29","date_gmt":"2015-11-04T14:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=3966"},"modified":"2015-11-04T07:55:44","modified_gmt":"2015-11-04T12:55:44","slug":"wednesday-workout-recap-40","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/04\/wednesday-workout-recap-40\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday Workout Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week was an insanely busy week.\u00a0 I won&#8217;t even talk about how many hours I put in at the office.\u00a0 But hey, at least I earn comp time, so I&#8217;ll get those hours back&#8230; sometime.<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Rest day.\u00a0 Where I worked almost 12 hours and then went to choir and then came home and face planted into my bed.\u00a0 It is entirely possible that I don&#8217;t comprehend how &#8220;rest&#8221; works.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; 60 minute trainer workout.\u00a0 These are awesome.\u00a0 Hurt so good.\u00a0 I&#8217;m clearly a hermit of an exerciser.\u00a0 I love my trainer and my treadmill.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; Missed workout.\u00a0 As I posted last week, I went to <a href=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/30\/visit-to-ellis-island\/\">Ellis Island<\/a> and got home late.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; Skipped my swim workout and did Wednesday&#8217;s missed speedwork instead.\u00a0 I figured that my next swim-related race isn&#8217;t for many months, but my next running-related race is in a month.\u00a0 So running was more important.\u00a0 This is how my brain works.<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; 60 minute trainer workout.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211; 8 mile run.\u00a0 My legs are absolutely dead.\u00a0 So I&#8217;m clearly doing something right.\u00a0 The trainer workouts are leaving me super wobbly, which hopefully is a sign that I&#8217;m working hard enough to earn some improvements in next years races.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday &#8211; 1:55 trainer workout.\u00a0 This one was rough.\u00a0 The cats kept looking at me because of the noises I was making.\u00a0 So hard.\u00a0 And so awesome.\u00a0 I love it.<\/p>\n<p>I really think that I love trainer rides so much because I do feel like I can push my muscles to their limit.\u00a0 When it comes to running, my biggest issue is my heart rate.\u00a0 And that does come into play with biking too, but it&#8217;s more when I&#8217;m climbing and less when I&#8217;m spinning.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure as I get stronger, the heart rate issues will come into play more (because I&#8217;m pushing myself even harder).\u00a0 But for now, it&#8217;s so awesome to feel like I&#8217;m giving it everything I&#8217;ve got and not having to slow down because my heart rate says no.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week was an insanely busy week.\u00a0 I won&#8217;t even talk about how many hours I put in at the office.\u00a0 But hey, at least I earn comp time, so I&#8217;ll get those hours back&#8230; sometime.
