{"id":5819,"date":"2017-11-17T13:53:50","date_gmt":"2017-11-17T18:53:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=5819"},"modified":"2017-11-17T13:53:50","modified_gmt":"2017-11-17T18:53:50","slug":"best-laid-plans-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/17\/best-laid-plans-3\/","title":{"rendered":"The best laid plans&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So if you couldn&#8217;t tell, I&#8217;m not doing so great on my <a href=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2017\/11\/02\/nablopomo-what-the-heck\/\">NaBloPoMo<\/a> goals.\u00a0 Whoops.\u00a0 But hey, something is better than nothing, right?<\/p>\n<p>I blame this stupid cold.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not\u00a0<em>sick<\/em>, really, but I&#8217;m not exactly well either, so I&#8217;m working to kick it. As of today, it&#8217;s mostly just a cough and a bit of congestion, plus that general feeling of malaise, but I&#8217;m definitely better.\u00a0 It&#8217;s meant more missed workouts though.\u00a0 Can I have a two+ week taper?\u00a0 Is that an option?<\/p>\n<p>I certainly didn&#8217;t go to the pool this morning.\u00a0 I figured coughing and trying to swim would be problematic and lead to possible drowning.\u00a0 Seemed messy either way.\u00a0 But I am hoping to hit the bike trainer tonight and then go to bed early (Yeah Friday Night!) so I can have some fun this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>(Including braving the grocery store and hopefully running 6 miles if my cough clears up a bit.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want to run on the treadmill if I don&#8217;t have to, but at this point, whatever it takes.)<\/p>\n<p>I finally decided to check out Zwift after seeing so many of my friends raving about how fun it is, and after one ride, I think I agree.\u00a0 I will be doing a more robust review of it sometime in the next few weeks, but I think it might be a way to make my indoor rides even more fun.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So if you couldn&#8217;t tell, I&#8217;m not doing so great on my NaBloPoMo goals.\u00a0 Whoops.\u00a0 But hey, something is better than nothing, right?
