{"id":6344,"date":"2018-06-01T11:00:55","date_gmt":"2018-06-01T15:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/?p=6344"},"modified":"2018-06-01T10:51:53","modified_gmt":"2018-06-01T14:51:53","slug":"may-mileage-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/2018\/06\/01\/may-mileage-update-2\/","title":{"rendered":"May Mileage Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6345\" src=\"http:\/\/elbowglitter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/monty-python.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"141\" \/>Well, I actually have some run miles to report this month!\u00a0 Admittedly, I&#8217;m not doing much running, less than three minutes of running for a 45 minute workout, but I&#8217;m still counting it as a run, because it&#8217;s training towards Rev3 Williamsburg.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to have to up those numbers though, since I didn&#8217;t even run a full 10k this month total.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">May Totals<br \/>\n<\/span>Swim &#8211; 5.4 miles<br \/>\nBike &#8211; 146 miles<br \/>\nRun &#8211; 5 miles<\/p>\n<p>With two separate weekends out of town, those numbers aren&#8217;t so bad.\u00a0 I formally started training again this month, so I&#8217;m actually dragging myself to the pool on a regular basis.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t mind swimming.\u00a0 I end up enjoying the workouts.\u00a0 I just dislike going to the pool.\u00a0 It feels like such a process.\u00a0 I think it&#8217;s because I&#8217;m spoiled, being able to do all of my other workouts at home.\u00a0 Tragically, I don&#8217;t have a lap pool in my yard (nor is there actually room for a lap pool in my yard).<\/p>\n<p>Recovery is still going well.\u00a0 I&#8217;m doing weekly PT sessions, plus daily PT exercises at home.\u00a0 I&#8217;m really lucky that my insurance covers my PT sessions.\u00a0 The copay is a small price to pay for the benefits I&#8217;m getting (even when those benefits involve sticking needles into my hip).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also stepping up my at home strength work in addition to my PT exercises.\u00a0 I know that strength training and regular stretching is key to preventing injury, and yet I&#8217;m often terrible about doing it.\u00a0 I&#8217;m sure I sound like a broken record, as this is not a new issue for me.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s to a month of solid training leading up to my first triathlon of the year.\u00a0 Yay!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year To<\/strong> <strong>Date<\/strong><br \/>\nSwim &#8211; 19.2 miles<br \/>\nBike &#8211; 796 miles<br \/>\nRun &#8211; 9 miles<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, I actually have some run miles to report this month!\u00a0 Admittedly, I&#8217;m not doing much running, less than three minutes of running for a 45 minute workout, but I&#8217;m still counting it as a run, because it&#8217;s training towards Rev3 Williamsburg.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to have to up those numbers though, since I didn&#8217;t even [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[41],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.7 -
