So, the plan was to start the New Year off with a bang. Ten mile run on Wednesday, and a goal of getting 10,000 steps in each day.
And then my Achilles tendon decided to make other plans.
About a mile into my run, my heel started to hurt. So I stopped running and stretched a bit. Still sore. Definitely not a good sign. It’s not terribly tender, but any ache is bad.
So instead of lots of steps and miles, the plan for the next week is lost of rest and ice and hoping for the best for next weekend’s races. I’m as ready as I’m gonna be.
I have been dealing with Achilles tendon pain myself for a few weeks now…it sucks! Keep up the rest and ice and I hope it gets better ASAP! Stinks when you are motivated and dedicated and pain stops you!
