For the past two weeks, I have managed to stick to my training schedule 100%! I’ve even gone over goal on a couple of the workouts, most notably the swims (because it seems ridiculous to drive 15 minutes to the pool, get in the pool, swim for 10 minutes, then drive home).
And you know what?
I am TIRED.
And also sore. Every day, something different hurts.
I think I kind of love it though. Well, I love the feeling of accomplishment. And I love knowing that if I just keep sticking to it, I will do well at my upcoming races.
The next goal is to get the bike out the door. I’ve just been riding in the trainer. I’ll probably keep doing that for my Wednesday morning bike rides, just because it’s so dark at that hour (and I know myself – if I wait til the evening, I won’t do it), but my weekend rides are going outside either this weekend or next. That’s going to be telling. Right now, I’ve just been riding by time and effort. Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly pushing it, but I have no idea how that’s going to translate into mileage outside.
But only time will tell. I really have no idea what sort of time goals to put on my triathlons – just finishing strong, I suppose. And only solid training will get me there.
Great job! I love those weeks when I get every one of my scheduled workouts in – and two in a row is definitely impressive! WTG!
Woo, that’s amazing! Great job!
Great job on the workouts! I love feeling sore, too….it’s definitely a sign that you worked hard! Have a fabulous weekend! :0)
