I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with April Fools’ Day.  I don’t really find humor at another person’s expense to be funny.  Maybe that makes me lame, I don’t know.

Now, a totally harmless prank, like filling someone’s cubicle with balloons, that’s funny.  The prank war between Jimmy Kimmel and John Krasinski and Emily Blunt?  Hilarious.  But intentionally freaking someone out and making them worry or making them angry, that’s just not fun to me.  I just get embarrassed for the person being pranked.

I also like seeing what internet companies come up with.  ThinkGeek is known for its random April Fools products.  I wonder how long it takes to come up with that stuff.  And then sometimes the products become real, which is awesome.

But no pranks here.  I’m lame like that.  I was tempted to claim I had just adopted six more cats and was embracing my status as a crazy cat lady, but I was too worried people would think it was true.  8 cats in my house is probably too many cats.  And way too much fur.

Though I might wish Google Panda were real.
