Well, the cool air and the school busses are proof. Summer is officially over. I’m sure we’ll have some last blasts of heat, but it feels like it’s back to the real world now.
Even though I haven’t had a summer break in years, there is still something calming about summer. One awesome perk is that our office has summer attire – meaning that I can wear jeans or sundresses to work everyday. Being just a bit more casual really changes the atmosphere. But it’s back to dress pants. Dressing like a grown-up, I call it.
Admittedly, fall is my favorite season. I love the cool weather. I love college football season. I love being outside in the cool weather. Fall races are some of my favorites. My body thrives in cool weather workouts. I know not everyone agrees with that, but I love a brisk race morning. Sure, the waiting for the race can be miserable, but the race itself feels amazing.
Now that it’s fall though, it feels like I have so much to do. The vacation that has been planned for well over a year is now just a few weeks away. I am ready and not ready all at the same time. So far, I have zero blog posts pre-written, for example.
And oh, the list of things I wanted to get done over the summer. Those did not so much happen. But I did get a lot accomplished, and had a great time doing it.
So welcome, Fall. Nice to see you again. Let’s keep it jeans and sweater weather for as long as possible, okay?
Hey! I nominated you for a Liebster Award (blog award)! I promise this isn’t spam, it’s just a way to give visibility to blogs we like. You can check out my post right here: http://wp.me/p14iFg-gW
Me TOO! I also thrive in the colder temps, and with the slight dip in temps that we have this week, I’m starting to feel like I’m almost back to my normal, cool weather body. Summer body is not a happy body.

I used to be the other way around but now I’m a colder weather runner! Because I can always layer up and then remove layers as needed, but you can’t do that when you’re hot. 🙁
