So it’s less alliterative, but I had to at least recognize that yesterday was April Fools’ Day. Therefore, workout recap happens now.
Monday – Rest Day. Choir practice.
Tuesday – I did the insane workout I mentioned that day. Which wasn’t actually that insane, and honestly, the running math I tried to do was probably harder. It was almost 2 hours of speedwork on the treadmill. It was fun? Well, it wasn’t awful. We’ll go with that.
Wednesday – Bike trainer workout. I really wish I was in better biking shape. I feel like I missed the boat on that one this winter and it bums me out. Next winter, fewer races. Oh wait, I’m already registered for two.
Thursday – This was a scheduled swim, but there were storms threatened. If lightning strikes are detected anywhere in the area, the pool is shutdown for 45 minutes. And the pool is a 30 minute drive from my house. I decided my best bet was to stay home and lift weights. Not the same, but it’s better than missing a workout complete. And I realized that I’m in terrible shape and need to lift weights more often. Have I done it since this workout? Nope.
Friday – 6 easy miles.
Saturday – Rest Day. Where I could have lifted weights. And didn’t.
Sunday – 12 mile paced run. This one was rough. I couldn’t find my groove and I was all over the place with my pace. Mostly, I was too fast. But I was tired and probably under fueled. Oh well, I got through it in a pretty good (for me) time.
