For accountability, I’m going to try to review my weekly workouts here on my blog. But because I can’t do anything on time, I’m going to use Wednesday to review the previous week’s workouts.
It’s my blog. I can do what I want.
Workouts for May 26-June 1
Monday – Rest Day
Tuesday – Missed Workout
Wednesday – Brick: 45 minute trainer ride, 1 mile run
Thursday – Missed workout (intentional)
Friday – Rest day
Saturday – Fort Ritchie Swimfest – 1500m swim race
Sunday – 7 mile run
So… not the worst week, but not the best either. I’ve been letting life get in the way and I’m missing too many workouts as of late. I really need to fix that. I intentionally skipped Thursday’s workout, as I had a swim practice scheduled and didn’t want to risk still being worn out for Saturday’s swim race. But I should have done something on Tuesday.
One thing I need to learn that is if I’m exhausted and just not feeling a workout, I should at least get on the treadmill and walk for a mile or so. Anything to stay active.
I’m talking with a potential coach tonight, so I’m looking forward to getting a new plan in place to prep for the races coming later this year.
This is a great idea. I need some sort of accountability, too. I may copy you.
